How Parents can help the School
Come along to the School Masses and celebrations or the special assemblies in school and be willing to be actively involved in Parish life.
Take an active role in school activities; for example help with reading in your child’s class.
Come along to our ‘Bring your parent to school days’ throughout the school year.
Let the class teacher know of any problem at home which makes it difficult for your child to learn.
Support the school by coming to Family nights and school events or workshops.
Fill in our half termly parent’s questionnaires to let us know your views.
Join a Parent council (for information please contact the school office).
Join the PTA (for information please contact the school office).
Do contact school if you are worried about your child’s progress or anything else that is causing concern. It is much easier to find a solution to a problem in its early stages, rather than when complications set in.

Building Fund
In order to keep the school buildings a safe and comfortable environment for the children and staff to work, Salford Diocese introduced a charge per pupil for the upkeep of school premises. This fund was set up due to the falling numbers at Church Masses. In the school year 2007/08 this was set at £9-00 per pupil per year. At the beginning of each school year parents are notified of the cost for that year and asked for a donation to the building fund.
School Funds
Another way parents can help is through school fund which enables us to buy a wide variety of items that are otherwise not affordable. We do ask for a regular contribution of 50 pence per family every Monday morning.
Foundation Stage fund for Nursery and Reception class is 50 pence per week, which provides these pupils with a daily morning snack with any remaining money used for extra resources.
